Riding your motorbike is one of the greatest ways to have fun. The passion to control your bike in a skillful way and the high adrenaline level can make it one of your favorite hobbies. Perhaps you enjoy taking risks and you like challenges but what do you do to prevent a motorbike crash? After all, riding a motorbike is an extreme-sport. In the following paragraphs, we are going to write about avoiding a motorcycle crash.

Purchase a good protective body armor. When you start driving a motorcycle for the first time, you learn to protect yourself with full body armor. You should have your leather pants, helmet, goggles, knee and elbows protection and gloves and then you feel safe. But time passes and the your armor outwears, a small crack in your armor can lead to a broken bone. Are your wearing your chest plate? Are your goggles infrangible? Sometimes we make errors but be careful about your mistakes because some of them could cost you too much, maybe a broken bone or even your life. Once you have a good protection on, you should get to the next level; you have to check your bike every time you decide to go on a ride. Check the tires, check the controls, the signals, the lights and more.

Now, we'll be talking of common faults that lead to motorbike crashes and what can you do to avoid them. Don't drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol, we hope everyone knows this and everybody knows it’s a typical mistake that leads often times to an accident. The number one thing that causes a motorbike crash is loss of control. Loss of control can depend on your own actions, on exterior actions or both. You could lose the control of your motorbike when you accelerate too much, or when you’re not used to the the bike’s control or lack experience. These are factors that depend entirely on you; lower the speed and learn how to drive the motorcycle gradually getting more and more experience. However there are factors that do not depend on you, such as the condition of the ground or the weather.

Always pay attention to the surface condition, because it can cost you your life if you don't. The condition of the road's surface means, water, ice, oil, mud, sand, road cracks and humps. All these potential risks result in a loss of control over your motorcycle. Sometimes you don't pay attention, you see nothing, and your bike suddenly slides. Check for clues, if there are construction sites close by it can be sand and mud on the road. If you see motor trucks ahead, they could have leakage, so pay attention to oil splats.

Paying attention to potential hazards is essential if you want to avoid a motorbike crash but you should also know how to position yourself among other vehicles. Always be conscious of other cars. Don't stay closer than 2 second away of the car in front of you and never place yourself in a car's blind spot; that leads often times to a motorcycle crash. Remember to signal and talk to other drivers to make sure they're aware of you, especially motor-trucks; and in the end this will help you to avoid most motorbike crashes.
