How to Know If a First Date Went Well

If you're uncertain of what happened at your first date, you need somebody to help you figure it out. Most of the time, if you’re doubtful it means there are 2 possibilities : you have several good reasons to think it went bad or you're just worrying too much. Talking to her. Try to recall every moment when you were speaking with her. Who talked more, she did or you? If she talked more that means she was feeling comfy and chatty. If you spoke more, was she looking in your eyes, was she smiling, laughing? If she did then it's a good situation. If you interviewed her, did she answer easily, or did she raise her brows, give you a curious look as if it’s a typical, cliche or boring question? Did she want to find out more about you? If she asks you about yourself that’s an indicator of interest. Did any uncomfortable silent moments take place during the conversation? You should avoid these moments as much as you can. If you can’t find anything to say, try to look around perhaps you discover something humorous nearby to talk about.

Body language. How was she waving her hands, was she standing stiff, or was she waving her hands a lot? If she was waving a lot, that’s a great sign, it means she wants to communicate with you more. If she was touching her hair while talking with you, that’s another good sign. A bad sign is when she doesn't move with her arms closed; she’s probably indifferent or feeling uneasy. If you tried to loosen he up with a good story, that’s a great way to make her feel more comfortable. Was she leaning in to you when talking, or was she sitting back and just acknowledging everything you we’re saying? Leaning in to you is a sign of interest.

Touching her. Did you touch her, and if so, how did she respond? If you didn't even try to touch her, that's unquestionably a minus. If you touched her hand and she responded well, that’s a good sign. Did you try to kiss her, if so, how did she respond? You don’t have to kiss her the first date but sometimes it’s fine to let her know you want to kiss her, so if you tried and she pushed you away, most of the time it's not a bad sign, it just means she's not ready for a kiss yet.
